The case of the disappearing download

I finally got my new Moto G Stylus almost up and running. Just recently I (maybe) downloaded a couple of ebooks, but I can't find them. I looked for them with both the regular (googoo) file manager and the one I got from fdroid (thank you, puppykickr). Neither one of them listed the titles on either internal or sd. They shouldn't be on the card anyway. I also checked Nook and Moon+reader just in case they had shown up there. They apparently hadn't. Where could they have gone?

Never mind. I found my answer. Since I'm using No Root Firewall, I just had to give permission to download manager, and it worked out fine.
