Everyone, I purchased the blurex ultra slim and every time I flip the flap around to the back, it puts the N7 to sleep. I read that it shouldn't do this. I thought maybe I received a defective one, so I had Amazon send me a new one. Same thing with the new one. Is anyone else having any issues with flipping the flap back and putting their N7 to sleep? Anything I can do to help it "behave". Thanks
Thanks. Mine hasn't damaged the N7 which is something. I actually received 3 Poetic cases (only paid for one) because of the faulty magnets issue although all of mine seemed fine. I've just butchered one and cut the back plate in half length ways around half way up to make a nice desk stand that the N7 just sits on.
$20 is as high as I would go for a case. I would like to find an alternative to my Poetic, for no reason other than I get bored. The problem is: it has to be slim, have a wake/sleep screen cover, and have at least a couple options for how to rest the device for use (including lying flat/ able to hold it in my hands without a flap hanging out or bunched up in a wacky way). The only case I can find that fits this description is my Poetic. Guess I started off with the perfect case for me. I came close to buying the Blurex Ultra-Slim, but I don't like the idea of having to "Pop" half the tab out of the case to use the stand feature and it doesn't look very slim to me. Not to mention there is virtually no protection if you drop it on its corner. Same story with the i-Blason. Almost there, but I can't stand the gray plastic on the IVSO brand cases, but they look sweet otherwise. The Poetics are like $12 now too. I'll probably just get another one of those as a backup since it really is the perfect one IMO.
I've had the iBlason since I got my N7 in November. True, it doesn't offer much do protection, but what slim case does? I've been very happy with my case so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
ok.. i got the same one. it came in last week. fast delivery. and mine had the know issue of.. one corner popping out!!!!! for the price.. Under $7 with shipping. it had good feel to it. and i wanted to keep it...so i looked a little closer to the issue. i seemed to me that it was just a little off. the edge was just slightly to short to get above the rim and secure itself. there is a soft cloth lining inside to help protect it. i cut and removed a small section (less than 1inch x 1inch) of this cloth in the corners that gave me trouble. this gave it just enough depth so that the rim can reach up over the sides and snap on. it worked!!! now it is a snug fit. the cover has a magnet in it.. so that opening and closing the flap, turns on and off the nexus 7. the texture of the surface gives it a good grip. the top cover can be folded to prop the screen up. 2 positions. it also comes with a stylus. it has a built-in pen so that you can write on paper surfaces. i have other cheap stylus to and they suck.. skips across the screen as i try to draw a line. the stylus what came with this cover is much better. it keeps a good contact with the screen as it slides smoothly across the glass.. giving you a good solid line. for the price... i give it 5 out of 5 stars. a must buy!
Seriously, looking for an under $10 case for a Nexus 7??? Why not use a large sock? Mine goes everywhere and is a work and communication tool, reader, entertainment center, etc. A pretty valuable device for $200 IMO. For as little as $15 you can find some pretty nice cases. I use the i-BLASON Auto Sleep / Wake Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet 100% Genuine Leather Case Cover found on Amazon for $14.95.

I don't know about you, but I do drop things accidentally including my N7. Beware of those thin "fold up into stand" type cases which offer minimal protection. I was using one, and my N7 got a small dent in a corner after a drop on the tile floor; luckily no crack in the screen. My current $15 case is well padded and covers all surfaces and edges. Whatever case you choose, make fit and padding a priority. My .02
I found a roocase for my N7. very nice and not too bulky. ROOCASE Ultra-Slim Vegan Leather Folio Case Cover for Google Nexus 7 Tablet - Black
If anyone in the UK is interested in the Seidio Active case, Ebay retailer oemcell has a couple for sale. Purple White You can get them directly from Seidio, but they're about
For some cardboard, felt, and vinyl, $7 is the right price. My $7 case arrived today, and I am very satisfied. It does not add any bulk to the N7. I do not understand why it has a giant hole in the back. Amazon.com: Nanum Google Nexus 7 Ultra Slim Fit Case (Gray) + Stylus Pen: Cell Phones & Accessories
Is it... GoodEnough? hehehe... Sorry, couldn't help it. What color did you get? I'm guessing gray. Or grey? Is it seriously cardboard?
That is exactly why my username is what it is, with respect to tech products! Yes, grey. I'm not sure what it is made out of. It does the job.
I thought for sure it was for the Cyndi Lauper song "The Goonies R' Good Enough". The case itself is felt lined plastic but the cover is flexible and it feels like cardboard inside the vinyl.
This thread has been very useful for deciding on a case and in the end I chose the Moko Slim-fit cover. I can't really fault the thing at the moment and it's a case I'd recommend for
So are there any iPad-like smart COVERS for the Nexus 7? I do a Google search for nexus 7 'smart cover' and all I get back are cases
Does anyone use the otterbox for this tablet? I'm thinking about getting one and I want to know your opinions. Thanks
