I changed my boot animation to the Droid X boot animation. I then tried to add sound (adb push android_audio.mp3 /data/local) and it won't play the audio. Any ideas?

I don't use this certain boot animation, but with mine (just the normal Droid bootup), I have to have my media and notification sounds turned on beforehand.

Be sure the desc.txt is right and the folder "android" is being pushed inside the zip.

How is this thread different than the other one you made? Lol

I like both of them, how do you install them? After I get my phone today, would like to have them on it. I know a couple of "appleboys" who will love them, lol.

Can a mod combine these with the boot animation thread in Tips & Tricks?

Haha, these are just too funny. I like the PC-style boot animation I have currently ('geeky' in the how-to website), but I may have to try one of these out for a day just to show to my iPhone'd friends.

I'm guessing you need to be rooted to use these correct??

No, you don't need root to install boot animations. See the Boot Animations thread in the Tips and Tricks section for detailed instructions.
