    Hi Everyone..
I am basically going nuts trying to find an answer to a question about the Droid before i purchase it..
I have emailed it and checked every website that i could think of and still can't find an answer...
Whoever can help me out with this.... will be my savior.. lol :D

This is concerning the IM.. as in aim
When someone signs on the buddy list does the droid alert you with a sound or something?????

I would appreciate any help from anyone that has the droid and understands what Im talking about...

    Have a great day everyone!!!!!

You can download aim apps, and the apps will allow you to set preferences for alerts such as vibration, ringtone etc. So yes to your question :)

I'm using an AIM application called MEEBO. It works for me. However, realize that when you are on a voice call, you will probaby drop the AIM connection due to CDMA limitation.

LOL. We all have our issues, whether they be red ones (can't have unless it doesn't do this) or green (can't have unless it can do this...).

ok.. ok... my son works nights and for the government... As you know everything is so secretive.... so if he had something to tell me during the night, when he signed on my phone would alert me and .. I would then know that he was able to talk..... Another plus is that I wouldn't have to move from my bed and go to the computer.....

Well, now do you approve of my reason?????

So.... I guess you can say that this is a GREEN ISSUE!!!!!! lol

    Thanks for your help!!
Have a great weekend everyone.... TGIF

well first, why would his secretive job allow him to tell you about his job
second, why would you/him use AIM, an extremely easy to hack software with little security features. little kids can hack that shiii.
third, why would you tell me that if its so secret
    fourth, wtf

When we talk, it's not about his job.. It is personal...
    Sorry about the misunderstanding..
