I just saw pics of the GNex with stock battery and extended battery side by side and was amazed at how thin their extended battery was. I could seriously not tell which was which in a few pics.

What are the odds that HTC will put out a thinner extended battery for the Rezound? I know nothing about how battery builds vary from company to company, so this may be a stupid question to some, but it'll help me decide on whether or not to get a Rezound.

I also hope the Android store gets the game Batman: Arkham City Lockdown before I have to make my choice because that game is awesome and would ROCK on a Rezound screen. I'm Angry Bird-ed and Words With Friends-ed out.

I digress...a slimmer extended battery in the cards. Yes, no, maybe?

I think seidio is making one that will fit with the stock cover.

Yes, please let us all know where to get that battery. I would an extended with a slim form factor especially one that fit with the stock cover.

i was blown away at how thin the ext battery is for the G Nex. Some are saying that the stock battery cover still fits. I held the ext battery cover in my hand and couldn't believe it.

Its a small jump though...1850mAh to 2100. Its not 1590 to 2750, like on the Rez. If it's so thin, why wasnt it just included with the phone?? At least HTC was less obvious with their money grab :p

^That is correct. The mAh is not that big of a jump. It's better than stock but it can't possibly be that significant. Owners of the Gnex have confirmed that the extended battery can indeed fit under the stock battery cover. Why they provide a cover with the extended battery that is the same as stock is beyond me.

i totally agree about it not being a big jump. lol which is exactly why i didn't buy one

edit* although i think HTC took the RZ ext battery to the extreme lol that thing is a brick

It makes people think they are getting more than they really are.....

Also the only 'slim' we will be seeing is at most a 1900 (not likely) and most likely it will only be a 1800(ish)

Yup. Sad to say, but battery physical size = capacity. The bigger the battery, the more capacity. Until we get radically new battery technology, that isn't going to change... a battery with twice the capacity is going to be twice as big (ish), no way around it.

Seidio's historically made extended batteries that are 10-15% more capacity than stock for HTC phones, and they are of course a little bigger than stock but still barely fit inside the stock cover. I've had several of them for various phones over the years.

That would equal 13 to 15% more battery though.

I find the stock battery to be good enough to get through the day. But I do have a charger everywhere I go. I don't see any battery improvement the next few year's until a newer technology is released.

Kind of a silly compairson since the 'extended' battery on the gnex is only slightly larger than the standard battery (2100 i think where the rezound 's extended battery is much larger).

I didn't like it at first, but the heft is nice. It seems like it's harder to drop. it's definitely more ergonomically comfortable in the hand than some of the others. Really though, having a phone that lasts all day with heavy use is worth the extra thickness on its own.

HTC is know for under powering it's phones when it comes to the battery and I don't know why. This phone, for being the beast that it is should come with at least a 1800-1900 mah battery.

I'd be as happy as a pig eating shit if it came with a 1900 mah batter.

Do thunderbolt batteries fit? There's a deal on amazon, two1700mah thunderbolt batteries plus a battery only charger for less than $20! I'm ready to buy if they fit.
