I don't think there is an Amon_RA recovery for the A855, but I have a boatload of stuff including SPRecovery. Did you click on the link in my sig? You can see it in the post just above yours.

Is there any simple way to eliminate "My Magazine" --everyone knows its crap but I cannot find a way to remove it without rooting as rooting the Duos seems a bit iffy.

Which Duos do you have so we can move this question to the proper section for you as this is for the Motorola Droid and not a Samsung phone.

The Motorola Droid never had a "My magazine" app.
