Also I was looking for an option that isn't there. I wanted to vote for 'Do NOT merge useful accessory threads into one useless giant thread". Why wasn't that an option?

The mods have their hands full trust me, i mod on a couple sites. Its hard to be fair and keep a happy medium.

NO. The mods already merged a ton of really awesome accessory threads into one which crippled the forum already. You should have seen how angry everyone got.

So seeing as how the mod merge has already caused enough damage i say we leave everything alone and close threads like this.

I pretty much ignore giant threads unless they come up when I'm searching. Otherwise I scan the last day or so of posts. It'll calm down in time.

You clearly haven't been on many forums covering popular topics. Since this forum is very "open" you'll find a lot of users on it at once. As with any popular topic there comes uncontrollable traffic and managing topics for this one particular phone is too much of a hassle.

Sure it would be great to be organized, but organization isn't necessarily needed in this case. If you have a question, just search. If you want to follow the latest developments, just keep an eye on the top threads of the first page (all offer lively discussions).

This forum is completely functional as-is.

another droid forum has separate subforums for accessories, hacks/tips, general discussion. i think that works very well

I agree. I've modded on three different computer tech forums over the years and it's a tough gig. Mods are volunteers and can't devote all their time and energy to the forum. To do so would make it a full time job and you'd have no life. Just use (not abuse) the "report post button" and someone will look into it.
