A fitted cover, with a little padding, that totally surrounds the sides and back of the phone (with appropriate openings), with a hinged cover that folds over from the top or side, also lightly padded or covered so it doesn't scratch the Incredible's face. Such a cover would offer a modicum of "defense" against phone drops on the floor, and the hinged cover would offer the screen a little bit of shade.
A combo of leather and stretch padding would do nicely.
