Yeah looks really nice, but I think I want to stick with the 7" tab. 10" is too big I think... Now I'm trying to decide whether to hold off a bit and see if they come out with another 7" tab, or just buy the current Galaxy Tab :) I'm impatient lol.

Isn't that bigger than the iPad? I think that's one reason a lot of people chose to get the Galaxy Tab over the iPad.. the size was more convenient.

I agree, 10" is too bulky to haul around. I am also waiting for the 7" Galaxy Honeycomb, but there seems to be little news about it - even no speculations.

get it now, man! im telling you, with or without honeycomb, the tab 1 is good!!!!! there will always be new devices around. when 7" honeycomb is released, you'll salivate waiting for 7" jackfruit!!!!! if you wait for the future, you won't get anything!

In principle you are right. But I have been waiting for 73 years. I guess a few months will not make much of a difference. LOL

...and I'm certainly not the expert but the only things I've seen with honeycomb are the 10 inch devices like the new, bigger tab, the motorola xoom, etc. I don't know if Honeycomb will work on a 7inch. Also, all of the above mentioned tabs have the Tegra 2 chipset, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, the biggest disappointment to me on the 10.1 tab is the lack of MICRO SD??? Why would you bother with it without being expandable? No usb is lousy but I guess I understand but NO micro sd slot is unforgivable. I love the fact that my Tab has a 32gb microsd card in it.

I just don't see what good a device like this is if you can't have it hold a ton of information.

You are right. Micro SD, USB and WiFi are a must. If it does not have that, I will not buy it - even if it is in gold.

i agree no usb is a big big miss and don't get me started on the lack of sdcard slot

I agree that's a bad move. Who does Samsung think they are...Apple?:p

If anyone is concerned about the 10.1" size, Samsung will also be releasing an 8.9" Tab very soon......

I love my 7inch tab and will defend it over the IPAD everyday. Quite simply it is FAR superior to the IPAD. However, I wish this 8.9 inch tablet would have been released first. I am fine with the 7 inch screen but the 8.9 inch screen would be a little nicer for video and web browsing but it also still has more of a portability to it vs. the 10.1 inch tablets.

What would really be interesting is if this 8.9 version will have a microsd slot. Without it, I wouldn't want a tablet. USB I can live without but it has to be expandable. Also, to be honest, I couldn't care less if this tab runs FROYO, Gingerbread, Honeycomb or Ice Cream. I care more about being able to handle all the video codex's, the web browser and being expandable.

I think you are making an important point. All the enthusiasts excitement about Honeycomb will probably not filter down to the general public. They care about their applications and can care less about the underlying operating system - Android, iOS, webOS or whatever.

Both comments I totally agree with.
I get quite annoyed at posts from users demanding the latest OS offerings when all in all as long as the hardware runs what you use on a daily basis what more do you want.... irrespective to if it is Froyo, Gingerbread or Honeycomb.
