This is the place to post your motor vehicle pics... Your car, a funny one you may have seen, or pics related thereto. Maybe if we all play nice and the mods think it's a good idea, they'll even sticky this thread. ;)

Here's one I saw tonight... when I was younger I cared more how my cars ran than how they looked, but even this I'd have done something about.

    Ugh.

    Love it!!!
Definitely welcome all contributions, please bring 'em folks!!!!!.......but my own personal uptight rule: If I didn't take the shot (or star in it), I won't post it.
This one barely qualifies.......I didn't take this photograph, but I did take this picture of the original photograph, in a friend's collection; In his trophy case. (so taken was I by the original image).

Am extremely blessed to have done a lot of seat time in a Jaguar XK-SS; If I had to pick one car to own for a lifetime, it would likely be a D-type Jaguar. They won Les Mans three years in a row, and when it became obvious four years in a row wasn't likely, Jaguar took the remaining,(Aprox 20 to 30 cars) unfinished D-type racers, put a few nominal road car fittings on them, and sold them as XK-SS street cars / club racers. There was a factory fire, destroying several chassis, book keeping and records were spotty; Who truly knows how many were ultimately released into the wild? (Despite what my beloved Wikipedia says);) A fascinating story from a cooler age gone by.
Absolutely ferocious muther' effers, those cars; Technically very interesting, and (in full race trim with long gears), they were 170+ MPH machines. Built by men and women who developed their skills, hand fabricating aircraft during the (recent) "unpleasantness"; Took their talents and knowledge elsewhere when no longer needed for wartime production. And D types were as pretty as could be, dripping in asymmetry, just like the most beautiful women often are. (Falls to knees and weeps emoji)

Anyhooooo. I love this shot; (The original) signed by driver Ron Flockhart........"You blokes don't know a drift when you see one." Old school gangster, yo.
