1. Are you ready for the Galaxy S20? Here is everything we know so far!

    You know the square on the right side of the navigation bar at the bottom? Pressing that of course leads to the recent apps screen. The recent apps screen that I have with Android 9 is terrible imo. I have to scroll through all of the apps to get to the clear all button on the far left. I like to know if there's an app that shows the recent apps screen but with the clear all button already there from the beginning so I don't have to scroll through anything to get to it. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Why do you want to clear all anyway? It doesn't actually do any good (in the sense of saving power - it may slightly increase power usage when you reload apps rather than resuming them), and the idea that you need to keep a lot of RAM free is Windows 95 speaking, not how sensible operating systems work. I mean if you just don't want someone to see what apps you've been using then fine, but otherwise it's a mildly pointless thing to do. I genuinely never use that button, so don't care if it's tucked away.

    @Hadron is correct.
    The only people that need to use that function are people like me with low to very low end devices, and those running devices with old and much less efficient OS, which are usually also considered low end.

    Why on Earth not? It's fine to use. Especially with apps I barely use.

    What's the gain? And if it's an app you barely use you can swipe that away individually, so "clear all" is only for removing all apps, including those you do use (and hence will waste energy reloading). It's an essentially pointless feature.

    Anyway this is a system feature, I don't know of any alternative app. And it's the same in Android 10 and 11, so I'd not hold out any hope for it changing. Maybe just swipe fast to scroll to the end of the list (I can traverse to the end in a single swipe on my phone). That's the only suggestion I have really.
