Hey, Ive noticed that where you slide the phone to reveal the Gamepad you can move it slightly like a few millimetres its not a tilt function I know that but It doesn't seem sturdy like my PSP Go? which has no Play in it what so ever? I sent it off for repair but no repair was made so I assumed that all Xperia Play's are like this. Even when its shut you can still wiggle the screen just enough too.

    Anyone confirm?

Yep... Thats the same as mine but not as bad as that.

But is this ment to be this way or is it just dodgy workmanship?

If the phone is still under warranty and you believe there is a problem with the device just speak with your local wireless retailer for the xperia play.

If you take a good look at 2the phone, the two halfs are only connected at the top end (none wobbly side) when it's open it's pretty solid.

Mines a little wobbly at the bottonwhen closed but there's absolutly nothing wrong with it

Will be interesting to see one that has broken

Just got mine and was impressed with reviews I read about how sturdy the phone was.... I've always stayed far away from slider phones because of many many problems I've had in the past.
BUT, after playing with the phone for a few hours I noticed yeah, there's a little play when open.... but like in that video, its worse when closed. Worse to the point that when the phone is closed and I am holding it like a phone, I can feel the two halves moving like that when just touching the screen, etc.
If its normal, fine, can someone here confirm?

Mine was ok until i started using a cover. It didn't leave room for the charger and lifted up slightly. Now its kinda wobbly.

Mine is pretty much like in the video but solid when the phone is open. If you watch the stripdown video on the forum you'll understand why we all have the wobble when closed
