Apparently according to Sen Frankenstein's statement today it is currently legal to hunt humans as long as you are using a 15, 30, or 150 round magazine.

This is even worse than Joe "shoot through the door" Biden's advice.

Feinstein's push to make human hunting illegal

She clearly has failed with her choice of language, I agree that a limit on magazine capacity is no bad thing,, but the way she says it is fecked!

And as for ptsd, clearly wrong as shell shock was well known about since the first world war, just the definition if it has changed!

She failed with her choice if words because she truly is that ignorant on the topic. She is leading the charge against gun ownership and every time she opens her mouth about the subject something almost that ridiculous comes out.

And we already discussed the magazine size issue in the other thread. I only own standard capacity magazines and I have several 30 round magazines, and many more that hold more than 10 rounds, yet I don't own a single high capacity magazine. We discussed why limiting them would serve no useful purpose at all. In fact my last post in that thread explaining how a gun is nothing but a tool effectively ended that thread because you can't argue with it.

This thread was simply started to show how stupid and ignorant the person leading the anti-gun agenda really is.

Not what she means, exactly. She is trying to connect the killings with large magazines and because people died, she is (or is the quote accurate) saying people are "hunting" humans. Oddly enough, in these school killings, the killer is hunting humans.

Forgive my comment if you cannot understand it. Any time you discuss Feinstein, it is difficult to parse her words in a way that people can understand even when you do your best to explain it.

I'm not disagreeing about the word choice, it is done after all to create fear, the same way words were chosen by the bush and Blair administrations talking about WMDs etc that came with it. The sad fact is all politicians do it these days, they choose words to suit their fight rather than saying it as it is. (we had a whole discussion about the wording of the independence question, and how it can lead you to choose yes or no, which I think is a joke because I will decide after doing my own research, not down to the wording of the actual question!)

And the tool suggestion was actually quite a few posts back from the current end of that page. Its the same as a nuclear bomb is just a tool, or any bomb for that matter, so are bullets....its the using of that tool that kills, and without it being their, people will find other ways to kill, but why not in a civilised age, in a civilised nation (you are aren't you?) Limit the numbers available, limit the type available, and what your allowed to use them for?

No one ever countered many of my points, one being that if they are limited(banned) it becomes only the truly hardened criminals who will have access, and they would only be used in major heists/crimes, rarely if ever used by the common burglar in attack of you or your families! And there is a perfect example of this in Britain where we do have a hand gun ban, and restrictions on other gun ownership!

And I don't expect a ban to ever happen in America (for a start it makes to much sense :p ) but you cannot deny that in an ideal world where you could get rid of the vast majority of guns, that it wouldn't help put an end to the kind of school shootings that are infamous over there!(and in other venues!)

Another one of the Things i had mentioned was that surely ownership of any item is a privilege not a right.....and your own laws already suggest this as you prevent certain people from ownership!

The quickest and easiest way to end school shootings is to either arm the staff or have armed guards there. All of the mass shootings in the last couple years except for one have taken place at defenseless victim zones (nut jobs call them "gun free zones"). It could be done for free also. I'm a Veteran, have a concealed pistol license, and I could supply my own gun and volunteer my time to protect my daughter's school. It would be easy to protect our children for free and not leave them like fish in a barrel to a deranged killer.

Yeah that is, until one of these guards suddenly decides to shoot a few or even any kids!

The reason we (UK) banned hands guns, was down to the dunblane(Andy murrays school) shooting.... Do you know how many incidents of school shootings we have had since?

    0

There have been several gang shootings(as you and I have always said, criminals may still get their hands on them!), and even one or two nut jobs with shotguns....hell we have had a baby die after being shot by an air gun.... But, even with our biggest death toll, its a hell of a lot less than columbine, sandy hook, the cinema theatre!

You always skip the last one regarding gun ownership as a privilege!?

That is because here in America it is not a privilege, it is a RIGHT. You can lose that right because of certain things, the same as you lose your right to freedom when you commit a crime and go to jail. Unless I personally do something wrong I can not lose a RIGHT because of the action of some other lunatics.

Absolutely not!! I never said I did. If someone doesn't want to carry a gun they don't have to. If someone doesn't even want to own a gun they don't have to. But how is it right to create so called "gun free zones" and strip us of our right to self defense. Do you think a crazy person has ever seen a gun free zone sign and said "D*** it, guess Ill have to go somewhere different for my killing spree"? No, they seek out gun free zones because they know they will be able to murder and run up the body count unopposed for several minutes before any police show up.

Last year after the Aurora theatre shooting there was another theater shooting. The shooter killed his ex girlfriend in a restaurant then went next door to the movie theater to shoot more people. A legally armed private citizen saw his gun and was able to shoot him and prevent any more murder.
    San Antonio attempted mass murder

Last year at the Oregon mall shooting the shooter was again stopped by a private citizen who was legally armed. This time the good guy didn't even have to fire. The shooter saw the gun, realized he "fish in a barrel" shooting time was over and took his own life.
    Oregon mall shooting stopped early

If these had both been "gun free zones" how high would the body counts have been? How many lives were saved in just these 2 instances?

BTW, let's get this back on topic. The people leading the anti gun campaign are idiots and don't even have a clue what they are talking about.

This is one of the most well written articles by an educated, informed, open minded person I have ever read on the gun issue and "gun free zones". It is completely fact and evidence based. It is a great read, especially if you live in the delusional fantasy world and think "gun free" zones accomplish anything good.

In the 70s, more than 50% of American households had guns. Now it is less. We do not have more guns today, we have less. OWNING GUNS IS A RIGHT!!! Are you saying it is not a right? Read any good Bills of Rights lately? It is written there in Iron Gall, the blood of patriots on parchment paper.

Once we ban guns, shall we start on freedom of the press, freedom to assemble and petition? Certainly, there are those on the left that want Limbaugh and Beck shut up. Lets forget the Constitution, again, and enact laws that can make it easier for the government to control us.

Seems like no guns and no way to complain is a good start towards no America.

Gun haters should fight to the death to protect our Constitution because once we begin to chip away at it with impunity, it will not stop with a gun ban.

Many people want to ban all guns but they do not want other parts of the Bill of Rights touched. Cannot have it both ways. As soon as we find it easy to ban guns, what is next?

We are beginning to debate and vote a new law here in Utah.

No concealed carry permits required to carry a gun in Utah.

    I hope it passes.

Proposal: No permit needed to carry concealed weapon in Utah | ksl.com

Basically, it allows anyone 21 and older to carry a gun, openly or concealed.

At last, someone on the hill finally read the Constitution.

You should just ban guns and be done with it.

    You can begin the process.

The constitution provides a way to change and amend. Get cracking, you have decades for work waiting for you. First read the document so you will know what it says and make a list of other things to ban. I suggest freedom of speech. That seems to be something the left wants banned.

Not that I have any reason to go to Utah, but if i did, this would seal it for me. Just the kind of place I'd want to be... Everyone carrying and no background checks, yep that's brilliant. I think all the gun toting liberty loving folks finally found their nirvana. What a relief for the rest of us. One person's idea of liberty, is another person's nightmare. Can we at least acknowledge that fact?

Well, our rights are just that and if you want to live here, you must either simply accept the law or find another place to live. We do not force you to live here; you have free will and you can go where you prefer.

Utah at least follows the Constitution. They seem to be thinking that the right to keep and bear arms means what it says and there are no conditions attached in the founding documents.

If you think guns should be banned, well, fine. Go for it. Change the Constitution/Bill of Rights and enjoy your nice, gun free life. Come here, become a resident and change the law if it is passed.

It will perhaps be a better place until those that ignore the laws decide to put a gun in your face and takes your crap. Or some bad guy enters your house and you cannot defend your family. No counting on the police because they are either too far away or they decide not to help. Cops are under no requirement to help you. No laws say they must. But you do not believe this, so Google is your pal.

You likely do not know who around you is packing. They do not usually tell you. If you think people carrying concealed are a threat, what about those with permits that have gone unnoticed? Are you concerned about those people?

And you assume Utah will be the Wild West; that everyone packing represents some danger? And you did not think you would be wrong today, I'll bet.

I have had a gun in my face, a loaded .357, thank you very freaking much!!! Fortunately, it was a joke and not a hold up, it wouldn't have mattered if I was carrying, there would have been no way i could have been quick enough, he was 2 feet away from me at work.

And btw, its my country too. My husband has a CC permit, he also doesn't carry his Ruger or Sig Sauer to intimidate anyone or just because he can. He doesn't show up at Town Hall meetings with his loaded AR 15 to intimidate others or just because he can.

I'd like to know that at least if someone is CC that they have at the minimum gone through a background check. The Utah law bypasses this little detail completely and allows anyone over 21 to open carry or CC. And you see nothing wrong with this?! Just because it's a 'Right' doesn't mean everyone should be allowed to carry. As a retired nurse, I've run into a lot of strange crazy people that were balancing on a razors edge of reality but would appear perfectly normal.

You make assumptions because I don't like the strong arm tactics that the gun lobby employs. I can handle a gun just fine, I just don't need to shove the fact in everyone's face.

I have posted this before, but this just subtracts from Feinstein's credibility when it comes to passing laws about guns

whats wrong with the above image?

    Finger is on the trigger
Muzzle is not pointed in a safe direction

    anyone else?

I also have my permit to carry, and I do so because I have the right to and its no ones business to tell me I cannot. If you see me on the street, there is a very good chance I have a loaded hand gun on me somewhere that I can access it but you may not be able to see. It's not for intimidation, its my right to be able to defend myself

Exactly! No where does it say free health care, but my gun is covered under the Bill of Rights.

    Edited for length:
You might as well. The left has already shown that our Bill of Rights doesn't matter to them.

Is that what your leftist news is telling you?

Like violent video games? Makes sense!
