OMG, this thing freaking vibrates rough! I don't care, except that when I'm on the phone and get a notification, I can't hear the person talking because of the vibration. Any way to turn the intensity down?

This either works or I'm delusional :)

Go to settings, turn on haptic feedback, then change the vibration intensity, then turn haptic feedback off again.

that adjusts the vibration from when you press keys, not the notification vibration :(

Funny, mine hardly vibrates. I miss calls and texts all the time at work. I was going to ask how to step it up a little!

When you have the phone on a flat service and it vibrates, is it more of a loud rattle/vibration than a solid vibration?

I noticed that my first captivate had a solid vibration, #2 was a loud rattle type vibration, and now the #3 captivate (hopefully my last :) ) has a solid vibration.

Here's my conclusion - The #1 and #3's battery fit much tighter in the slot than the #2 phone- the back cover also was much more snug than the #2 captivate. So I'm assuming you have one of those issues?

    My $.02

when i hear some peoples phone vibrate on a table it sounds like theres a power drill and i dont even hear mine half the time

i wish i could set the vibration pattern like i could on my old crappy lg vu

Same here, the vibration is very load when your on a call. It should turn the vibration OFF during a call, not loader/rougher.
I like to have it ON any other time.

    ZDroid,

Where is the haptic setting? I was looking everywhere but I can't find it. I also want to turn down the intensity on the vibration while typing.

Edit: Just realized this is the Captivate forum. I did a google search for the HTC Inspire vibrate intensity and this came up, didn't bother reading if it was Inspire or not, just assumed. Either way, if you happen to know how to adjust the Inspire vibrate intensity while typing I would be greatly appreciated.
