I installed ApeX 2.0 RC3 about two days ago because I hadn't been on anything other than 2nd-init Roms in a while, so I decided to go with ApeX for a while and port BWC for it :D

You guys know the usual disclaimers about "you" being responsible for your own phone, etc.

Inverted Market v3.1.3:

I decided to do one for myself (thanks to B-boy for giving me the necessary 1.apk necessary for apk manager to decompile the Market properly). I left a little bit of color in it still, it's not completely dark because I think it looks better with a little bit of color in it.

Thanks Bo. How are you liking this compared to the 2nd-init roms?

It's been working pretty well for me so far. Not as fast as 2nd init, but it has the blur dialer and camera, the only blur things I like :D

EDIT:
I should say you are able to install and use the blur camera because it comes with AOSP camera ;)

I was reading about RC3 this morning and considered giving it a shot. Then I thought,,, no BWC and blew it off. Guess ill have to give it a whirl tomorrow. Fabs stuff is always worth redoing a phone layout.

Bouchigo,

Apex is my first ROM, and BWC is my first theme, so please forgive me if this is a noob question. Do I have to do something in particular after installing the Theme to change the dock (hot seat)? All the status icons have changed, but he dock still looks stock.

If it helps, I installed the theme using the Droid 2 Bootstrap recovery.

Thanks!

You need to install a home replacement app like Go Launcher, ADW, or LPP.

Then you can use custom dock backgrounds and custom dock icons.

Thanks Bo. Probably gonna throw new ApeX on here before the wife inherits my X and I move onto Bionic.
Pretty sure she isnt interested in messing with 2init junk.

Kinda. Probably won't get it right away. May wait a while to see how people are liking it. Only thing that might stop me would be the pentile issue. I personally have not seen a DX2 yet so not sure what all the hate is about. Other than that, whats not to like about it? I know "faster" phones are coming soon but there is always ginna be something Better around the corner???

If all you are doing is replacing pngs then yeah, all you do is drop the pngs in through winzip or 7zip.

You can use a zip that is already made. Use one of my battery with crt, etc. mod zips. Just place your modded apks in the right folders and then flash it to your phone (delete any apks in there that you don't need like BlurHome.apk).
