I have updated the Gingerbread keyboards posted here to be installable. Now, you can install along side your Android keyboard and switch back and forth. I have expanded the themes as well with more color. To install one fo the keyboards, follow the below instructions.

    • Download preferred color
    • Remove .zip from the filename (Ex. Rename blue-gbkb.apk.zip to blue-gbkb.apk)
    • Remove any current Gingerbread keyboard
    • Install like any other app

Thank you Greg, one more quick question: I am fairly new to the DX, so how do I go about removing existing keyboards?

You only need to remove any version of Gingerbread keyboard that was installed using an apk.

If you have not installed one, then you don't have to uninstall anything.

If you are unsure, check your installed apps for Gingerbread keyboard. You would uninstall it like any other app.

You could also just try to install and if it gives you the options to update or uninstall, select uninstall and then install this one.

Wow awesome work greg! Just got the green up and running on my friends X, looks so cool.

Would it be at all possible to make a purple themed keyboard to go with the liberty purple theme? If not its no thing, just wondering because I think that would look pretty slick. Thanks again.

I usually stick to my own theme colors. If I do go outside that range, it will be to make a yellow one to match the default Liberty theme. Just not enough time unfortunately.
