This rom is developed by Onix Concepts and MrBobrowitz. I've been following MrBobrowitz's roms for about 2 months now and they are top notch. Before you shrug this off as another 2.2 rom, the reviews found at My Droid World suggest that it is super fast and has great battery life. Many comparisons are made to Bugless Beast and many say that they feel this is smoother and quicker.

I cannot attest to this, I have yet to flash it myself. But I've run 3 previous MrBobrowitz roms and they are some of the better roms I've tried. Info below:

    Onix Rom
    Developed by Onix Concepts
First 2.2 (Froyo) Rom from the creator of Steam Rom "MrBobrowitz"

Onix 1.2 Or Use Rom Manager

New Flash APK, download onto sdcard and use a file manager to install

Onix 1.1 Or Use Rom Manager to Grab your Copy Today!

    Onix 1.2.0
-Fixed Double Music Player, Now only has one that works
-Script Error was fixed along with adding a few others

-Added Onix Customizer Option in Rom Manager
-New Themes Available including the return of DropTheme

    -3G Signal Loss Fixed

When Froyo was released I though I would try my very tired hand at whipping up a modified version of the most recent 2.2 and this is what came out of the oven.

-Fully Optimized System (Deodexed and Optimized pngs)
-Scrolling Enhancements taken from Steam implemented in Onix
-Custom Scripts added to work with terminal (attached list)
-New Music App (Has 4 options for widgets now!)
    -Chrome to Phone app added
    -Flash Installed

    -Battery Improvments w/P3's kernels
    -Rom Manager (Free) Included
    -Spare Parts
-Wallpapers more to come (made by Pseitz a.k.a. Broskii)

*Note for some people the terminal emulator force closes and I have no clue why but i am working on it!

    -Onix is Stock
-Any 2.2 theme will work with Onix but i have Blackmodzz and Cyan in Rom Manager

Have Fun and Welcome to The New Age of Droid (Any Donations will help me even further in development) [IMG]

I would also like to take this time to announce that I have invited Charlie from root-ed to sign on as my partner in crime for future releases of Roms under Onix Concepts, give him a welcome to the Romming world!

battery pull for 1-2 minutes. restart into recovery to a previous rom and then make sure your download was good and try again.

Check that thread. Flashing the SPRecovery sbf will get your recovery back and allow you to fix the issue

That's a great a question! If I'm correct ( Most of the time I am not ), in theory, that should give you root again.

If its a brand new unit, you need to root it. IMO, the easiest way to root is to use the Droidmod updater and stop it before it applies the Droidmod rom. Which is easy, it asks you before it downloads the rom.

Follow these instructions: Loading DroidMod Roms with DMupdater, Reflashing to Older DroidMod Roms

Just remember to stop before it loads the rom. You will then have root access. If your backups were made with SPRecovery, then you can just go into recovery mode and reload your backups.

If you used clockwork, just redownload rom manager and flash clockwork recovery. From there you can restore CW backups. Just holler if you have any questions.
