Help There's no way Gallery should use this much battery.

Have u tried opening the gallery again though lol?

I have, just for extra measure. I've browsed some photos, took a handful of pictures, and gallery is back to using a minuscule amount of battery, as it should be.

Part of me thinks that even though I disabled picasa/g+ syncing, a reboot was necessary to fully implement those changes.

Anyway, thanks for all the help and suggestions. I'll definitely make this forum my first stop if I ever run into a problem again, you guys are great.
