So, would a manual update.zip install work?

Oh, and how on earth do you find this stuff on their website?

Took the link from the leaked update and just changed the filename to the latest one. Shot in the dark but it worked.

If you did the unofficial 2.2 upgrade, I would seriously not try manually upgrading with the official 2.2 file. HTC has to do a special upgrade for us unofficial people.

The latest one (sorry if I confused you).

Note the differences in the filenames

    Older Filename - OTA_Supersonic_3.26.651.3-1.47.651.1_releaseu2cqjc2e98n4o6xn.zip
    New Filename - OTA_Supersonic_3.26.651.6-1.47.651.1_releasem24cfnusi9dsrr6i.zip

This is the official FroYo release. It will not install if you are running the leaked version.

I am tempted to try doing a manual upgrade to see if it works.

Well, hopefully, it won't let you...but I wouldn't want to be the one to test that theory out.

I'm not in a hurry, I'll wait for the OTA to be released, and still wait till next week, just to make sure everything is working fine before I take the plunge.

I downloaded the file from this thread, renamed it update.zip, moved it to my SD card, and so far it's "verifying update package". Will update here if it is successful or fails.

Edit: finally came up with "assert failed: apply_patch_check....." E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (Status 7)
