    Problems:
    Battery Life
    - Whenever I look at my phone, the battery is on red. I have Juice Defender Ultimate and it does nothing at all. The battery life sucks.
I don't have the Extended Battery because I need a case.

    Another problem:
    Lagging/Unresponsive Phone
    - I flashed my phone to GingerSteem 1.0 w/ Blit. Kernel. I have SetCPU set to:
    1305 Max
    368 Min
    Lagfree Governor
    and it lags like hell!!

Can anyone give me some advice before I freak ?
I don't like the theme of GingerSteem Extreme so I'd rather not flash to that.

Flash your phone back to ZVD or if you hadn't updated to ZVD...do so. It's much better on the battery.

Yup, heck I am getting better battery life at 1.4GHz on ZVD 2.0 than I ever did at 1.0 on any other software version

Is Juice Defender running? Set it to "Aggressive." It turns off data when you're screen is off and it only checks your background (email, facebook, twitter) every 30 minutes. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it and make sure you have the newest versions.

What SW Version are you on? Check under "About Phone." ZVB? ZVC? ZVD? GingerSteem Extreme is ZVB, so if you're on ZVB, I recommend upgrading to ZVD and installing a ZVD rom (Broken Out, #2, Black Plague).

Also, what apps are you running that is draining your battery/causing lag? What home launcher are you using? Widgets? Is GPS on?

I DON'T WANT TO BE RUDE OR BE IN YOUR BUSINESS BUT JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPEN. YOU GETTING POOR BATTERY LIFE . DID YOU DO THE BATTERY WIPE PROCESS THE RIGHT WAY. WHICH IS CHARGE. KILL. CHARGE UP ALL THE WAY TO 100 AND DO A WIPE AND A FIX PERMISSION IN THE CWM. SECOND UR COMPLAINT WAS THE PHONE LAGZ, WELL WHEN U FLASH THE DEVICE . I ALWAYS LET THE PHONE STAY ON FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES . CAUSE CHANGING THE ROMS AND ADDING DIFFERENT THEMES PUTS A LOT ON THIS LITTLE DEVICE. ITS JUST LIKE A BABY HE PLAY TIL HE DROPS. BUT LAST BEFORE I SHUT UP . DON'T GIVE UP ..... THAT LAGGING THAT YOU HAVING CAN BE STOPPED WITH A ICS TWEAK OR A LOOPY FREE OF LAG . I AM NEW TO THIS SITE BUT HEY IF U CAN TELL ME IN A PM HOW TO UPLOAD I CAN HIT U OFF AND U CAN DO SOME RUNNING OF THE ROM OF YOUR CHOICE OR JUST ASK THE MAKER OF THE ROM DON'T BE SHY WE DON'T BITE . THESE GUYS ARE VERY HELPFUL AND HEY JUST READ THE FORUMS U WILL SEE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AND JUST A FLASH WILL GET U OVER THE HUMP ......:D:rolleyes:

Vanna wants to know if the missing letters are both vowels, or 1 consonant & 1 vowel.

    Just kidding, Brainz:)

    1. I've stopped worrying about battery life-- Phillips makes a nifty combo attachable battery pack & charging base.
Plus phone charges up pretty quick. Try ZDBox... n a lock screen off shortcut button...

    2. Responsiveness, the bigger fish to fry(which also assists #1 some)...it's not the roms, but

    a. the apps on phone with their excessively continuous & redundant background processes/updates/watches/protection, etc. So many apps want to do everything: tweak, protect, update, backup, etc.

    b. free internal memory & storage space,

    c. maybe even an sdcard going bad...,you could experiment with a cloned one....

I've accumulated 400 apps and got my phone back to brand new state-- instant, zero lag at all times-- with the following:

freed close to a gig each of internal memory & internal storage space by moving as much as possible to external. What remains in internal are frequently used apps + others that are not advisable to run from external, even if seldom used.

disabled all security apps-- i'm taking personal responsibility for ensuring only safe apps are added.

scoured all modules and settings to eliminate unnecessary auto processes...as well as lowered excessive frequency of necessary ones.

Parted company with any browser, downloader, backup app that does not allow changing data location to external(just data, not necessarily cache btw)

PS not a fan of most widgets n autorun/background processes...only some.
Nor of resource hogging launchers/starters/themes/live backgrounds.
360 Launcher translated at xda is awesome.

Big, fast new sdcard has really helped also.

I kid you not-- hundreds of apps + almost all carrier bloatware(only removed 2, but added many others)-- and ABSOLUTE ZERO LAG / LIKE NEW.
W/o compromising syncs and backups either.

    Good Luck.

With Stock ZVD and a 3500 mah battery I get over 24 hours life with this phone with moderate/heavy use.

    ZVD is the answer.

your post is all fail. from the caps to the bad advice.

    @op

as many have said try doing a clean slate. upgraded your firmware to ZVD then root it and try one of the newer kernels. the homeless kernel is supposed to be friendly to the batteries. I use the blitzkrieg kernel on mine. im not worried about battery life as i have it clocked to 2ghz. and i used the extended battery. mostly because all the cases suck for this phone so i dont see a point in having one. also go apply the adrenaline shot alot of us had nice performance gains with number 14. also remember to shut off things your not using like blue tooth and 4g if wifi is available. turn down your screen brightness and all those other nifty tricks that are around.

This is the best tip for ANY rom/phone IMO. Also add gps in the there, turn it off when you know you wont need it. Every time I come across someone that doesn't like any android phone, I give them that advice and show them how to do it. Add toggles too for quick access, that way you dont always have to go deep into the settings to make changes. I always get good feedback the next time I see the people I helped with battery life issues.

updating to a custom zvd rom is also the best move I think. I havent had any lag issues on zvd stock and custom roms.
