i am using a iphone 3gs on t mobile right now and am pretty happy but i only have 300 minutes. and i am intrigued by paying less than i paying now for unlimited everything and also im interested in android. a few questions.
how is the data speed without wifi on metro pcs in new york city? if it is anything like t mobile edge ill be pleased because i mostly need internet for email twitter facebook i rarely sit and surf not on wifi.
also, does anyone know anything about the optimus V vs the M? does virgin mobile have faster data than metro?

i live in nyc as well if your surfing the web its fine. i use opera mini and its pretty quick its a lot faster than the stock browser. i get my emails quickly as well. i had an iphone when they fist came out on att with edge and i gotta say it feels like the m opens web pages quicker than the original iphone on edge. if you have a couple of extra bucks and you want really fast speeds get the samsung galaxy indulge its 4g but its also 400 + bucks spmething to think about. but oberall for what it is and what your paying for it the m is fine for using in the city.

like anything it just depends how many programs you have running at the same time. If you have widgets running on every screen and other programs running it might slow it down. it gets done what it needs too and its a decent speed. i dont play games on it so im not sure about that but what i need it for it is good. i had the 3gs before getting it and i like it better, the only thing i liked better about my 3gs was the 3g and also the screen size. Apple is a horrible company they like to take your rights away and they want to control everything you do, that is why i dont have a mac and also why i got rid of my iphone. Android lets you do and customize whatever you want without having to jailbreak. i personally believe if i payed for it, then it should be mine to do whatever i want with it. it has same processor speed as the Iphone 3gs and the optimus m has double the RAM so it is much better at multitasking.

like eljefe0000 said, if you are looking for a phone that is good for occasional web browsing, email, phone, texing, alot of decent apps then go with the Optimus m.

If you more into games and fast web browsing then go with the indulge.

the 2g speed is decent for me, it depends on your signal strength on how fast it goes.

for the price that the optimus m is and the monthly bill it is worth it.

took me a few weeks to get used to it after giving up my iphone just because i had to get used to the smaller screen size.

If your home network is locked, make sure your phone is allowed to connect. Some routers let you lock out devices not on the accepted MAC ID list. Also note that if you let the phone idle, it will disconnect to conserve power.

If you mean accessing mass storage via PC, you need LG's USB driver. You can get them here: http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/Resources/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497CA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0.msi

Opt M is a very nice phone regardless of 3G....even tho 3G on a flash on the camera would of been perfect
