Hey guys so i was looking at some third party keyboards that support my archos 101 for arabic and found one called ibrahim keyboard.

However, when i activate the keyboard android prompts me with a warning that this app may store all data typed into the keyboard including credit card numbers.

Is this a generic warning from android, and does anyone have any negative experiences with data theft from third party apps?

I've never seen a third party keyboard that didn't give a similar warning. It seems unlikely that a keyboard could work unless it can remember what keys you press - at least long enough to pass the information to whatever app you are typing into (I don't know the proper technical terminology though). I would just check the permissions to make sure there is no way for the information to be transmitted anywhere. For example, internet access in a keyboard app would be a red flag, I should think.
