Hello!

I am here because I would like to root my Virgin Mobile ZTE N8OO (I don't think it is an Awe or Blade; not sure how to tell as the system info just shows N8OO).

Looking through the forums, I can say that there is a lot here that I don't quite understand yet (such as, "What does 'Flash' mean?) but I hope to slowly learn what all of this is and perhaps get to the point where I can use the Tasker app (not the impetus for wanting to root my phone but would be a cool eventuality).

I guess to start, would someone be willing to link me to the proper forum in order to start reading device specific info on rooting? I would greatly appreciate it!

When you hear the term, "flash"--here it basically means to "install" via a means such as recovery.
