    I would have to agree!

I still love the Bionic, but this may just be worth the extra wait.

Buy it from Costco, and you have 90 days to change phones!

    I wish I had a costco around me :(

Actually, you can't do that. It's just the same 14 days... :(

It's 90 days to get the same model phone.

No, actually you can return and get other phone for price difference in 90 days at Costco. It's their return policy. I have done that myself.
It's surprising that still some folks are getting that misinformation that it's only for the same phone. There is no point of long return policy if it's only for the same phone.

After the 14 days you will lose your upgrade or NE2 status. So you return the phone after 14 days, get your $299.99 or whatever and now must purchase @ retail.
So, if you paid retail then your plan would work.

I'm hangin in. To me the Bionic is looking like a DX2 with LTE and dual core, not much more. I was enamored at 1st but they waited too long for my money.

That's not correct for Costco return policy. First, you can return phone and even cancel contract in 14 days at no cost. After 14 days and before 90 days, you can still return/exchange your phone with any other phone for subsidized pricing difference one more time. This won't affect your contract at all and you are still under the same contract that you purchased your first phone. Then after 90 days, you can't do anything other than early termination until your contract expiration date.

I actually returned, got new different phone in 80 days for only subsidized pricing difference without affecting my contract at all.

OK, Maybe we are talking about the same thing in different ways or about two different things, I'm confused.
There is a busy thread on this forum about purchases at Costco where a Wireless Advocates employee is fielding questions.

Below is a post From this tread From a Wireless Advocates Employee

"Ok, looks like I need to clear some things up about the return policy. You have 14 days to get used to the phone. If you're not satisfied with it, return your phone, and we'll be happy to exchange it. Or you can just get your money back and keep your upgrade and wait till the next best thing comes out. After 14 days are up, your upgrade is officially gone and not coming back.

After 14, you have up until 90 days from purchase to return the phone for the same exact phone. This is if you have a lemon. Is this the same as the manufacturer's warranty? Essentially, yes. One huge diff though. We guarantee you a new phone. Motorola won't.

If you cause damage to your phone you can NOT return it to us. We're not inviting you to damage your phone and we'll happily give you an new one for free. Doesn't work like that. You can return the phone if there's a defect in the phone. If you want protection from your own potential destruction, get insurance. I highly recommend putting insurance on a $600 device."

Verizon's policy is that you can return a phone for a diff model up to 14 days after your purchase. After that, you have until up to 30 days to return the phone for the same exact phone in the case that you got a lemon. After 30 days, you fall under the manufacturer's warranty for a year.

Costco's policy differs in that instead of 30 days, you have 90 days. It's one of the benefits of being a Costco member.

OK. Then howcome I was able to return and get different phone in 80 days for subsidized pricing difference? And I know several other members on this forum who did the same at Costco. Have you tried that yourself at costco?

Your quote is from bionic thread. Now sure where he got that from. I don't think that's official policy of Costco. Of course you can return it for the same phone, if the first one is lemon or faulty. But they also let you get difference one in 90 days as well. I suggest you call or visit your local stores about that and see what they say.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not doubting you or calling you out.
The post is from a person claiming to be a Wireless Advocates employee of which sells phones at Costco. Rather he really is or not I don't know.

I just hope I do not have to test the policy.

You don't have to test their policy yourself. You can just ask them about it.
I haven't seen anyone who got denied for returning/getting different phone in 90 days yet. I will visit my local store soon and double check if that policy changed recently or not.

There is an annual fee to join Costco so it wouldn't be worth it.

@ jinwons - I'll not be testing their policy I hope and will not bother asking again. Those reps are just like Verizon store reps in I get a different answer out of each one I ask, Heh! If they get the prime I'll just nab it and hang on for the ride.:)

@ jamor - I hear ya. I am a long time member and shop there regularly so its a wash for me.

I do hope they get the Prime.

They may or may not get Prime when it launches. But they usually get the phone within a month from release if it's not there on the first day.

They are claiming to have the Bionic tomorrow or Thursday. Ya never know.

I just posted some news in the Rumors thread here for the prime being a Droid Prime, not a pure Google Prime possibility. Ugh!

Uh Oh! Not a pure Google Experience. Touch Wiz and Bloat?

That's good for folks getting Bionic. But I also saw that Tbolt, Droid 3 didn't make way to Costco store on their first release days. So I'm 50/50 on Prime getting there on its first day.
