Three saying I am tethering when I am not!

So I have been using the all-you-can-eat data to the maximum, they did say it was all you can eat, so I have been streaming music constantly, downloading, streaming movies etc

Now 3/4 times a day my internet will cut off and say I am tethering?

Why are they doing this? All my usage is from my phone and no tethering.

I cant ring and speak to them cause they have no idea what I am going on about, I don't think they can even understand me.

So what do I do?

I know your post is old but I had the same issue which was down to using Dolphin browser rather than the stock browser, 3's tethering detection is extremely weak, they're supposed to be adding a white list of applications to their network so alps like Dolphin are allowed to connect normally.

Eventhough their service is all you can eat I suspect that they can throttle your service if they think you are using too much data for their liking. Technically this means that can still claim to offer "unlimited", but if it runs slowly it is hard to use it for anything meaningful until the throttling is released.
