Root Thrill-compatible CWM yet?

I've been looking and looking and looking for a way to get CWM, and tried many versions of CWM, but nothing seems to work. I'm pretty sure there just isn't anything out there, but just to be sure, has ANYONE found a way to get CWM on their Thrill?

If not, is there some way to use ADB to make nandroid backups?

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I'm making a return, but until I do, it would be nice to try some of the optimus 3d ROMs.

Mr. Ed you have been so helpful with my questions hope you don't mind another.

I am waiting for the GB update before rooting, but was wondering do I need CWM? Couldn't I just use the "default" recovery that is built into the phone itself? Again, I just plan to root to "freeze" bloatware, nothing more.
