To whom develops software, the tide tool application on my previous palm treo has been a frequently used and valuable program. Is there any similar program available or being developed for my android? Thanks

    Welcome to the Android Forums!

I did a quick Google search and came up with the following...

    tideApp

It states that the app is available through the Android market.

Tide Tool was without a doubt the best tide application I ever used, I wish Walt was still developing. I've downloaded TideApp, but it just doesn't come close. At least I've got the tides now, without the fine tuning Tide Tools gave me. It would accommodate the tides of the North River, a tidal river we canoe and kayak in - wait, it's there! Now to see if our other points are included......

I also used TideTool for Palm. I am considering switching to Android phone but my understanding is that Tide App must have data link to function. I live/play in remote areas where I need tide info but there is no coverage. So, does anyone know of an Android App that actually stores the data on the phone?
