Time/Date Stamp On Camera

Is it just me or did HTC remove the time and date stamp feature from the camera?

Looks that way just check myself and can't find a setting for it.

I forget how the Evo 4G did the time stamping. Did it watermark the time and date onto the viewable picture area? Or did it just name the picture files with the correct date?

Anyways, the date and time is automatically saved into the photos meta-data. So for example, if you are viewing a picture you took, on the phone in the gallery and you hit Menu then Details it will show you the date and time and model of the device that recorded the photo. This data is also viewable via the PC.

You could then rename the picture files to correspond with the given date, or even use a photo editing program to watermark the picture with the date if you wanted. There is probably even some application that can do it automatically.

While it is a nice feature to some, time stamping is somewhat analog and a thing of the past. The methods I mention are rather round about, but that is just sometimes how things work in the digital age.

I prefer the way it was on the EVO, with the time and date on the picture. If anyone knows of an app for that please post it.
