And I think I'll go with an Android this time around. After a long and exhausting search, I've found these three models quite interesting...

Motorola Droid 2
The G2
LG Ally

What do you think? Anyone have any other suggestions? It MUST have a physical keyboard since I don't intend to make the mistake of relying solely on a virtual keyboard ever again. And I refuse to consider any phone from Sprint since I've come to despise them with a passion.

You cant go wrong with either the G2 or the Droid 2 it all depends on your carrier preference T-mobile or Verizon do the research for who has the better signal in your area. As far as the Ally my best friend has one and IMO its not all that and seems kinda weak he talks about it freezing from time to time.

I say the Droid 2 or The G2 because they are both somewhat flagship phones for their carriers and both have great specs and reviews. Updates should not be an issue with either phone especially the G2 since it runs stock android (minus a couple options which t-mobile chose to take out).

So out of those 2 phones i would say the better question should be "what carrier should i choose" and thats something you probably need to answer your self.

oh yeah deffinitly take a look at the Sprint Epic as well.... If i was in the market for an android phone with a keyboard The Sprint Epic 4G would be my personal choice however i hate the touchwhiz ui that samsung has placed over its android phones but there are ways to get around that. hope this helps

When I saw this title I was going to come in and tell you to snag an Evo4G, boy would I have been embarrassed, lol. I would go with the G2, even tho I love my Evo, I've played with the G2 and its definitely a solid device, no doubt.

I have a Droid 2 and I'm very happy with it, but if the G2 had been out when I was shopping, I probably would've gotten that. Check your network though . . . Verizon has a really good one, and that makes a difference.
