When I first bought my phone, the time would display in large numbers at the top of the screen after the phone was turned on. Now the music player displays instead (but not the time).

How can I get the time to display again?

Sounds like you have the music widget setup on lock screen.

On lock screen swipe right on the music player and you should see "Add Widget"

Click it and select the clock you'd like. Once it's added swipe left on the clock to go back to Music Widget. Push and hold on the widget and then drag it up to the remove box when it appears.
