Support time stamp problem on text messeges (samsung epic)

    Is anyone else having this problem? When I receive a text messege the timestamp is wrong so when I look at my messeging thread its showing it was sent hours ago.. its all out of order and its really annoying!!!! it's been going on for the past 2 days...:thinking:

    I've been getting this also, but randomly, for about a month. I think the time stamp comes from the network, not the phone. For me it has occurred:
    From a BB to my EVO.
    From my EVO to a BB.
    From an Epic to my EVO.
    From my EVO to an Epic.

    All of which were on Sprint network.

    Im guessing this is a Sprint issue and not the phone as well.

    I have this same problem with the stock messaging app, but only when I'm roaming.

    I fixed it by installing Handcent SMS. It keeps everything in order.

    Experienced texts received out of order on my old Evo and am also experiencing it with my BB. Network issue IMO, as others have stated.

    I travel a lot, and when roaming in certain cities I have this issue occur. I second that installing/using Handcent fixes this... I had been avoiding installing it and just used the stock, but this was just enough reason to get in on my phone.

    The big plus is that when you install it it will pull your existing texts in...in the correct order! So if this begins happening, you can install the program until you are out of the roaming area..

    Yup, I noticed this as well a few days ago, and I too was in roaming, and thought that might be the case. I'll have to look into Handcent or whatever app is being referred to up top.
