Time To Sell My Droid 1 - Any Suggestions?

Got my DX this week and it's pretty cool.

One of the Verizon reps suggested selling my Droid 1 on Craig's List. She said she got $200 for hers.

I guess the advantage to a buyer is that they can go into a Verizon store and activate the phone without signing a long term contract. True?

I'm going to reset the phone to factory settings. Will also reformat the card. Both apparently can be done on the phone itself.

Hope this wipes out any personal data on both.

Any other suggestions before I post them?

Yes, if a customer has the phone in hand, they can go in and do a hardware change. No contact is signed as long as they aren't purchasing a new phone at a subsidized price.

But quite honestly, I would've waited. The Droid is a pretty solid piece of kit. It could've lasted you until Gingerbread.

You could do the world a favor and hang your self. That stop us from having to educate you on selling something. My 12 yr old daughter knows how to sell something. What happened to the world where people didn't have to be handheld for everything. Do you need help tying your shoes to. I need help putting the cover on my phone too. U must have 1 to many chromosomes

I haven't looked at ebay lately, but I would also check to see what they are going for there.

Whatever you do, don't accept anything but cash or paypal, IMO.

I sold mine last week on Craiglist for 200. The trick is to put 250 OBO, that way someone will negotiate you down to 200, or whatever number your trying to achieve. Always price higher than that number, because no one pays whats fully being asked. I sell new cars for a living so I see it every day. If you need anymore help my friend, feel free to PM me.
