Purchased Titanium Backup Pro today, but for whatever reason it will not open. It is downloaded on the internal storage of my phone but does not show up when I open up my apps. The only way I can find it is to go thru Settings>Applications>Manage Apps. I have downloaded it and reinstalled it numerous times with the same result. Any suggestions ??? Thanks.

Do you get a super user prompt asking you to allow or deny when you attempt to open it?

Head to super user and make sure it's not set to automatically block requests for root access. Do other apps that require root work?

I see where you can toggle the status of SU to allow/denied and it is set to allow. Really don't have other apps as I am in the rooting for dummies guide at - Flashing Guide How to's (thanx argedion) step #2. This is where I am stuck

The whole root process went really well till now. I do know I have S-Off.

I found the preference page on SU and the auto response is to prompt

You downloaded SuperUser? From the Market?

I'd be willing to bet that you're not properly rooted. Downloading SuperUser from the market when you haven't properly rooted your phone does nothing, unfortunately. Please follow the link I am providing and find your device. In that forum, there will be an 'All Things Root' subforum. Inside that will usually be instructions to root properly.

I've got to ask. Have you installed the free version of titanium. You need this for the pro key to work.

You were right on, I downloaded the free version, no problem, then the pro version and everything is running correctly. Thank you so much for your help. I am definitely a noobie but would this be something to put in the rooting for dummies guide for the pre - flash instructions??? Thanks again.

You would be surprised at how many people have done that so you're not alone.
    I'm glad I could help.
