you really only need to consider 1 thing to have your answer........ would you expect to have a problem covered under insurance oh lets say in the next 6 months........... for instance if you lose it tomorrow its probably a good deal........ if you lose it in October its a horrible deal..... and heres why

$30 upfront and $50 deductible = $80 ...... thats the cost to you if you have a claim............ 6 months from now what do you think you could buy the same phone brand new for????

you 2 didnt see his original post before he edited it out apparently..... the one I responded to......... he was buying from Ebay....... average price on Ebay currently is $150-$200........ he wanted to know if he should pay $30 for insurance with a $50 deductible........... 6 months from now youll be able to pick up an eris on Ebay all day long for equal or less than what it would cost him to insure it........ and thats for new ones ..... which he didnt indicate whether he was looking @ new one or used from Ebay.......... so $300 and $479 are WAY out of the ballpark as pertaining to his original question and my response

    just some context for ya

Not to mention that right now you can get a Verizon-refurbished Eris for $169 directly from Verizon under their CPO plan.
