What is Chromecast and how do I use it?

Chromecast is a small USB dongle, WiFi enabled, that allows you access to Google content (movies, music and TV). More information here: CHROMECAST

Keep in mind, you need WiFi running in your home for it to work, as it will not stream directly from the phone to the Chromecast without WiFi
