The Huawei device seems to be significantly delayed too.

I guess it's what happens when you let marketing drive your release timetables.

I can see something like this being a phone/tablet/laptop replacement. Other than that? I'm not interested. I'd have to wait for the tech to mature.

As a phone/ / tablet 2 in one, I can see the point (just). But there's a way to go before it's ready for use as a daily driver.

Exactly. It's like cars. Whenever they have a model upgrade, say every 7 years, it takes two or three years for the auto manufacturers to work out the kinks. Same with new tech.

It is really strange once you heard of a product, it vanished within like the first few weeks or so. Even of productivity too.. Why is that?

The Fold vanished because they made the classic error of releasing it before it was ready.
The question is how much buzz have they killed?

I am still a no go on this device. Still can't see spending $1,900_$2,000 for a phone. Okay maybe if it was guarantee support for five years, and was able to make satellite phone calls or work every where I might consider it:thinking:
    No not even then.
Too me it's not a practical device for my current line of work

A promise is only as good as your ability to keep it. ;)

I'm still not sold, though. These folding devices seem to make too many compromises to fill a need that's already satisfied by other devices and 3X the price.

Sure though. Greatness awakes, until the first person calls in Customer Service report.
