Really wondering if I should update my phone to 2.1. I've read numerous threads and see the positives and the negatives but haven't heard much on peoples final verdict.

So should I update now or wait for the OTA?

If you don't mind waiting like me and possibly brick your phone, wait. Other than that, go ahead and get it.

If your asking I say wait, there is obviously something about your phone that has you worried. If my phone was all set up just the way I wanted there is no way I'd do this update and start over...but it was only a couple weeks old and I was thinking about a reset anyway just to start over and fix it up the way I wanted, get rid of stuff I thought was cool and never used etc. Plus I was just feeling really geeky that day so I did it. Its really nice and I've seen some improvements, BUT those improvements are not worth it if its gonna take you 2 days to get the phone back the way you like it...my $0.02

I voted for update....but unless there is something 2.1 will bring that you can not live without (like Navigation) I would wait....I wanted and needed some of the stuff that it brought along with the update and for me I can live with a few little bugs. If you can't handle some little quirks you will be better of waiting too.

I haven't heard of anyone bricking their phone yet....but who knows I guess....this has to be about the easiest update to install.

im pretty sure its a fact that no one will brick their phone considering i was able to update without bricking mine :D:D ... but in regards to the op i agree with outkast if there is nothing in 2.1 you cant live without then i would say no. that said i updated just because there is not a downside ... you get all the new features (with a few minor bugs(i have only had 2 very minor bugs that do not affect me)) and when the OTA comes most everybody is agreed that we will get it and if there are any bug fixes then we will get them if not and it is the same as the leak then you get it without having to wait.

Except this person wants the general public to decide what they should do for them.

Therefore, I refuse to participate. Grow a pair, and make your own decision

I think you should update. The more guinea pigs out there working out the kinks before the official OTA, the better for us that are waiting. :D
