Welldrop lets you measure heights/depths using only a coin!
If used correctly, it can measure with an accuracy of 1cm (1/2"). It's useful for when you don't have a measuring tape or the height you want to measure is high.
The app is super simple to use: Hold the phone horizontally at the height you want to measure. Hold a small coin between your index finger and thumb with a 45 degree angle from horizontal position. Tap "Start new measurement" and drop the coin from 0.5cm (1/4") above the edge of the phone. When the coin hits the floor, the measured height will be displayed.
If you have carpet or other soft floor, place a sheet of paper on it and drop the coin on that. The app uses sound to determine the fall, so coin hitting the floor should make some noise.
