touble getting wifi to work on applications

    hello.. i am having a problem with my samsung 10.1 tab ... i just factory reset it .. and updated .. and added apps and facebook .. and when i use facebook .. there is no news feeds and it won t open and if i try to download facebook off galaxy it says there is no connection .. but i can use internet just fine ..but still won t let u download or usr parts of facebook ... i have no sim card in it .. do u need a sim card for the wifi to work ...

    No, a SIM card is required for cellular connectivity (and an account with a carrier), it has nothing to do with WiFi connectivity.
    But a Galaxy Tab 10.1 goes back to 2011, it's a pretty dated model. I wouldn't be surprised if your Facebook connectivity issues are tied in some way to an out-dated Facebook app and even indirectly to the version of Android on your tablet.
