Touch Keyboard Problem

Love the touch keyboard versus the physical one. However, when using contacts or music, I cannot get the touch keyboard to appear. Is there a way to do so. Otherwise you have to use the slider to go quickly to like a P contact or Song that is down in the alphabet. There must be a way, because I was using an App call bubble which is a level. Somehow I touched something and the keyboard appeared even though there are no text fields on that app.

Dude, I was there just one month ago - didn't know jack about this phone.

We're here to learn - and help others learn.

Now you know - and that trick will come in handy more than just this time - and so will this - if you happen to hit the search button while in am app (like Bubble) just hit he 'back' key (far left) and it goes away. Same for when you're entering multiple fields (like logging in) an you can't tell where you are - hit back and it takes you back to the login screen so you can see where you are (and type the correct info).

Thanks a ton. That trick I actually figured out. I have had it for 5 days and have gone through this thing backwards and forwards. I have ran the battery down 9 times already. I love the touch keyboard much more than the slider, but I hear that this unit has a much clearer display. Do you know if the Google Maps Navigator is built in already or do I have to download a different app. I see maps and it looks like Google. I just haven't done the directions yet. Is that app also the one that will find closest restaurants, either by name or category?

Google Maps Navigation built in - Beta, but built in.

Get the app My Maps Editor for Google Maps - you can not only make custom maps online (when logged in to the same account as you use on your phone) but also edit them and create new ones directly on your phone.

The finding of stuff is also available through the navigator (and if you get the app Car Mode you can enable it without the windshield mount to play with it) but it is not perfect - then again the whole thing is in Beta, so....
