Is there a way to program the front touch pad to unlock the screen? I'd be a lot easier to access than the top button. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I saw some guys on XDA talking about how to do this. It involves rooting your phone, and installing either a special trackpad wake mod or cyanogenmod. Neither is really stable.

I'd suggest waiting for a stable cyanogenmod, that will bring a ton of cool features including trackpad wake.

Check the app myLock (paid version). It might have that feature.

I'm using Cyanogen 6.1 RC4 and it has that option and many more.

I have it touch to wake up, and once more to unlock.

mylock (free) has it,but I don't like it. Looks like it would enable butt dialing to me.

I tried the one from XDA and it doesn't work no matter what I do and since installing the program and then updating the ROM manager, everytime it dies or turns off when booted on it starts in recovery mode, any idea why this may be happening

Widget Locker can do this also.
