Help Touch screen dying?

I have the Asus Memo Pad FHD LTE. My touch screen seems to be dying. It has sometimes gone unresponsive or erratic, but in the past I have been able to restore its functionality, typically through a restart.

But this time I can't bring the touch screen back to life.
