My Droid 2 is relatively new. but I've noticed that it occasionally, while on charge, the touch screen's almost inoperable. It acts like I've been swiping my finger erratically across the screen while I'm only trying to do basic things like open an app or go to the next home screen. And, of course, while doing that it'll sometimes open up applications I didn't want, make this very annoying.
But it does this only while on charge. I have a media dock, and it acts this way while on the media dock also! But if it's not on charge, it's easy to use.

Am I the first to have an issue like this?

In the past this has been linked to e-Interference caused by either faulted charger/usb connections or not using Motorola branded cables. It points to a hardware flaw so if your phone is less than a year old, take it to the store and recreate the problem for them.

I am using other brands of chargers. I was actually thinking this might be the cause but I hadn't heard of it before and it worked as far as actually charging the battery. I'll give a new charger a shot.

Interesting. My wife uses a number of chargers on her D2G and has never had a problem.

And technically we all should be able to use them, since its all one standard--USB. Unfortunately sometimes wear & tear on the connections will trigger unwanted behaviors.

That scares me a bit since I connect and disconnect to the car dock quite a bit.

Earier today I tried a different cable, plugged into the computer and the media dock in stead of unknown branded wall charger plugged into media dock giving me problems. Already much better.
