Help Touch screen lock.

Is the Xperia X8 touch screen supposed to automatically lock after turning it on? I prefer other Xperia X8 owners, or former owners, to answer please.

yes, there is the option for setting it to lock after certain time:
settings - sound & display - screen timeout..
When the screen turns off, it locks..

However, does it automatically lock? After turning it on, before being able to perform any other function with the phone, does it lock?

Yes it does, as soon as it goes into standby the screen becomes locked.
