Root TouchPal keyboard won't update Warp2 JB

    i kinda like the new version of TouchPal keyboard but for some reason im stuck with the previous one it wont let me update it and since its a system app would be too risky to try to deinstall it i mite screw something up any ideas?:hmmmm:

    Im having problems with it too. I made it a user app now it stays on reboot but loses settings.

    you could try renaming the apk in /system/app to something like yourapp.apk1. Just adding the 1 on the end makes the system forget it's an app. Then try installing touchpal from the play store. You can use any root file explorer to rename the app. I use ES File explorer. Good luck ;)

    you can undo by reversing the steps...uninstall from play store, remove the 1 ;)

    I meant if you decide you want to revert and use the stock version instead of the play store version. If it's working as is and you are happy no need to do anything. If you want you can delete the one in /system/app now that you know the newer one works for you ;)
