I would dearly love to be able to plug my new Note 3 into my Macbook and see the phone and SD card on my Mac so that I can easily drag and drop files (especially many GB of music) onto the SD. However, unlike my old Galaxy S Plus this seems impossible with the Note 3.

Yes, I am aware of Kies and Airdroid etc. and both of these are way too slow for my liking.

As it is a new Note 3 I would rather not go the root route.

Is there something very simple here that I am missing? It used to be so easy with my old Galaxy S Plus.

Have you updated the drivers in the Mac?

    Hi

I think the best way is to set your phone as an ftp server over wifi using eshare ESfile explorer or other app and enter the address in finder( go connect to server) It then does what you want over wifi easily.
