    Hello,

I'm planning a factory reset (never done since I bought my Note 4 more than 1 year before) because my system is slower at use.

For the Photos and video and contacts its not a problem, but I would like to ask you here if there is a possibility on Android 5.0.1 to find the SMS file and to copy it to the restored system, to get back my sms, not going through specialized apps?

    Thank you in advance.

You can't just copy a SMS database and transfer it.

There's several apps just for backing up SMS/MMS. Just search 'SMS backup' in the Play. store. That's the way to go.
