I have an lg l38c optimus dynamic android phone and would like to transfere the pictures in my phones gallery to my laptop; it is my experience that when you plug something into your laptop it will start to install automatically unless it cant be installed or there is something to download. Can my phone be installed on my laptop so I can transfere things? If so how?

You should just need to plug the USB cable in and the required drivers should install. Once the drivers have installed you should find the phone in Windows Explorer (Windows key + e) under Computer (or My Computer).

If the drivers don't install, it could mean a previous installation failed. In which case uninstall all the drivers from the laptop, restart both the laptop and the phone and then try again. DO NOT disconnect the phone until all the drivers installations have completed.

Navigate to \DCIM\camera to find your pictures. You can then just copy and paste them to your laptop.
