Help transfering files from PC to Eris

I've had the droid Eris from Verizon now for just over 24 hours now and I'm quite happy with it. The only problem I'm having is with data transfer from my PC to the phone. I want to load ringtones and pictures to the phone but even though I correctly installed the drivers I can't find a folder where I can put those files, particularly music and ringtones, so that I can assign them as ringtones or alarm sounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What I did was just create a folder called music on the sd card. From there the music player will pull up all the music you transferred over. It will give you an option in the muisc player to set as ringtone

Looks like DoubleTwist is one of the better programs to transfer media files to and from your android phone. From what I've read, it creates the folders on the SD card for you. Check it out: Sync, Play & Send to BlackBerry, PSP, iPod, iPhone with doubleTwist
