I got an EVO 3D the other day and will be giving my 4G to my wife. It is rooted and on a custom ROM (Kingdom Revolution b1.3, if it matters).

Can I just transfer this number via a call to sprint like normal?

Will the nandroid backups that I flashed still work?

Anything else I should keep in mind?

everything should be the same, just have sprint switch your number. make sure that you are on a sense rom though. just keep in mind that your nandroids will have your contacts and texts assigned to you and not to her, but they should be ok.

Would he be able to wipe something (maybe data or cache) and then make a nandroid? Giving her one without the contacts and texts?

Just curious, I can't recall where all that stuff is stored.

Though, that wouldn't work with any previous nandroids...

You'd have to do a factory reset for that Rom so the new Google account could be linked to the phone. If you restore a nandroid, it'll still have the other Google account linked.
Err, is wiping data also considered a factory reset?
If so, completely disregard this post. *Jedi mind trick* You WILL forget this post. *End Jedi mind trick*
